It is often useful to make sure that all the objects on a Power Point slide are perfectly aligned. I.e. if we have a text box followed by a graphic on a slide we might want to align them to the left. Most people will align these objects manually dragging them roughly to the same place by eye but this can quickly lead to discrepancies which look unprofessional in presentations. However, there is a built-in feature which lets us automatically align all selected objects by following the below steps:
- Click on the first object, then hold “Shift” and select all of the other objects you want to select.
- At the top, click on the “Format” tab and in the “Arrange” group click on “Align”.
- Choose whatever type of alignment suits your needs.
